About Ryan Greer Jazz

Greer is a Brooklyn-based creator of dance, theater and music, all rooted in jazz. Hailed as an "expert director-choreographer" (The New Yorker) with "joyous, jazz-inflected dancing both crisp and sensual" (The Chicago Reader), his passion for music is manifest as vocalist, composer and bandleader. On forming a new collective of musicians in 2011, Cabaret Scenes raved, “Ryan Greer Jazz illuminates how a talented crew morphs classics into absorbing jazz numbers."

Variations of the combo have amassed an accomplished billing of gigs, including an acclaimed stint at The Metropolitan Room. The 2016 debut studio release, Rising Sign, includes all original Greer compositions recorded at Creamery Studio and mastered at Super Fine Audio.

Greer is also involved with the Broadway-bound, jazz-infused production of Chez Joey, a bold reimagining of Rodgers and Hart's Pal Joey.
